Perspektiv considers the environment in all areas of the supply chain. We are very conscious of the impact our business makes on the environment and are committed to reducing our Carbon Footprint.

Our Commitment

Accreditations: We endeavour to maintain the standards required by a range of 3rd party accreditations i.e. EMAS/FSC/ISO.
Staff philosophy: We promote a workforce philosophy of Eliminate, Reduce, Re-use and Recycle.
Sourcing: Wherever possible, we source paper, inks, print and envelopes from companies that are committed to sound environmental and health and safety practices and use sustainable forest management in their own operations and those of their suppliers.
Recycling: We endeavour to recycle 100% of all paper and cardboard waste. All printer consumables are recycled.

Service offering

We encourage our clients to move away from holding large stocks of pre-printed items such as letterheads, leaflets and brochures, and instead utilise ‘print on demand’ and ‘just in time’ solutions provided by digital press, of which Perspektiv currently have two.
Data cleansing: We continually check mailing lists against gone away, bereavement and mailing preference service suppression files, de-dupes, to minimise waste.

New initiatives

We have recently undertaken an audit of electricity usage leading to increased staff awareness and better consistency in powering down machinery, reducing overnight usage by over 50%.
Reducing carbon emissions: We have reduced our fleet and the number of parking spaces allocated to staff, encouraging uptake of car sharing and use of public transport, in an effort to reduce carbon emissions. We have also taken delivery of an Escoota, providing us with a green and highly cost effective method of transporting small goods around the city.

The future

We will continue to work closely with suppliers to reduce the amount of packaging used.
Our key environmental targets for 2010 include the reduction of paper waste and electricity consumption.

We are continually looking to innovate, and introduce our clients to further sustainability initiatives as the market develops.

Green post

Perspektiv is currently working towards the greenPost accreditation. Helping us to decrease CO2 emissions during the mail delivery process, whilst also helping our clients reduce their postage costs on every item they send.

It's a win/win for us and our clients!

FSC & PEFC

We actively work to ensure we utilise supply chains that support the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) accreditations.

It's an initiative that will grow and grow!

e-scoota

Perspektiv is the first company in Nottingham to take delivery of an escoota. We will be using it to deliver print proofs to clients around the city, and to transport items between offices. The electric scooter is extremely environmentally friendly - has no CO2 emissions and a low carbon footprint - as well as being highly cost effective.
